Tina Rinehart’s total knee replacement got her back to work and back to living life.
Instead of living with pain every day, this professional athlete, fitness center owner, personal trainer and mom is living her life. Thanks to Adena, she’s back to doing the things she enjoys.
As a competitive bench presser and the owner of the Body Zone Fitness Center, Tina Rinehart has always led an active and athletic lifestyle. But when she injured her knee, everyday activities suddenly became painful experiences. Walking up stairs, getting out of bed, working with clients and even playing with her daughter hurt.
“It affected my job. I couldn’t plant my foot on the ground, couldn’t use my knee. I couldn’t show people how to use the equipment.”
Using pain medications for the rest of her life was out of the question. So she made the tough decision to get her knee replaced. She found a doctor in Columbus, but her experience didn’t go well. She got worse instead of getting better.
Then a client recommended Dr. Brian Cohen at Adena. He instantly made her feel comfortable and was honest about what she should expect. Tina had a total knee replacement with Dr. Cohen in 2005. Now the pain is gone and she has her life back. She can stand, jog, compete and, more importantly, play softball with her daughter again.
“Why go north when we have the best right here in Chillicothe?”
Robert Evans had back surgery that enabled him to do everything he used to do.
Having constant back pain kept this avid golfer from enjoying his favorite pastime. Then he had non-invasive back surgery at Adena, and he’s back on the links and enjoying life.
Robert Evans had back surgery twice in the past. Both times, they failed to relieve the constant pain he had lived with for over 40 years – so he vowed to never have back surgery again. That was until he saw an advertisement for Adena talking about Dr. Jeffery Lobel and minimally-invasive back surgery.
“On a scale from one to ten, the pain was at least a ten. Everything I did was painful.”
He decided that he wasn’t going to live with the debilitating pain any more, and he went to see Dr. Lobel. He liked what he heard about the minimally-invasive procedure so he scheduled the surgery. His results were better than he ever expected. He could walk up and down stairs without pain. He could sleep through the night without changing positions. He could get in and out of chairs comfortably. His pain was gone.
“Within three weeks of having surgery, I was playing golf again.”
